Before your event
We meet for coffee and I learn about you, your event, and your goals for the event photography. I’ll probably ask a ton of questions because I like to be ultra-prepared. Being ultra-prepared allows me to be ultra-flexible on the day of the event. So, you don’t have to worry about a thing in terms of photography on your special day. You’ll also learn about me so you’ll know what to expect and you’ll feel comfortable having me present at your event.
During your event
I take a documentary approach to photographing your party/ceremony/gathering. I never tell anyone to look at the camera and smile UNLESS you specifically request posed shots of particular people or groups of people. On the same note, if your guests ask me to take their picture I’ll do so (we don’t want them to think you hired a rude photographer). But the rest of the time I’m documenting moments as they occur. It will feel like I’m blending in with the crowd, yet, at the same time I'm observing events unfold, assessing the lighting, and designing compositions. I may lie on the floor or climb on some furniture with ninja-like skills, but no one will notice because they will be enjoying the moment.
After your event
Once your gallery is completed, I come to your home for your ordering appointment. We first view your photos in a slideshow and you get to relive your magical event. Then together we select your favorite images and create a true piece of art. This may be an album, a fine art print, or a gallery wall of mounted prints. I'm present to help you choose which images may work best as wall art and where you may want to display them in your home. In the end, you have pieces that serve as beautiful art, lasting heirlooms, and a visual record of your fabulous event.
Event photography coverage begins at $350/hour. Albums begin at $1100 and matted prints start at $150. I offer non-interest payment plans for all clients.
